While the Krettek backflushing rotors are equipped with a patented sandwich filtration element, often the competitive products are still working with a conventional filter cloth fastening with a dovetail groove. The advantages for the use of the sandwich filtration element are obvious. Besides an easier exchange of the filter cloth it is possible to work with a minimized residual layer. This automatically implies a gain of solid discharge.

Nevertheless, if the filtration capacity is reduced after several batches, the remaining residual layer can be fully automatic backflushed to reduce the filtration resistance. Therefore our centrifuges are equipped with an effective working backflushing device as standard, which can be activated in free preselection every time. Herby the continuity of the filtration process is repeatable given.
