Combined Function Unit

Another innovation is the patented combined function unit. With this it has turned out well to combine a great number of devices which are integrated in the door and which are necessary for the process like solid discharger, filling and washing tube. One of the main advantages is that the contamination areas on the inside of the door and thus in the process chamber can be reduced to a minimum. This has decisive advantages, especially in the pharmaceutical and starch industries

Furthermore in the context of this conception the combined function unit could be positioned in a way, that the slurry will be feeded only slightly behind the highest point of the rotor – the zenith. In this process the flowing-out liquid will be carried away by the rotating air column. Due to the rotation the liquid parts as well as the cake are exposed to the centrifugal force by a conceptional-related circular way, extended over 300° and will be integrated in the cake. Thus the probability, that possible filling splashes get into the solids discharge, can be reduced to a minimum.

In combination with the backflushing rotor an almost ideal and unbalance-low cake set-up is made possible by the tangential filling into a liquid bath.
