Extraction washing

The mechanical requirements to carry out an extraction washing are basically identical with that one of the counter flow washing. Thus this process version is not possible with a vertical peeler centrifuge. During the extraction washing the backflushing chamber will be flooded with the required washing medium similar to the counter flow washing until according to the law of the communicating tube the real product room of the backflushing rotor, that means the cake volume is wetted for 100 %. After a given, product-related dwell time the filtrate peeler device up to now be swivelled out moves into the backflushing chamber and extracts the washing liquid incl. pollutions out of the washed cake. This is suitable for especially difficult washing processes and/or when the washing medium implicates high financial expenditures because herewith the dwell time between solids and washing medium can be chosen unlimitedly. Another process is the dissolving of solids in the centrifuge. The process is the same as described before. But in spite of a washing medium a corresponding dissolving medium will be used. Advantages of process and costs benefits speak for themselves.
